Background:  Dr. Kiser describes the work of the Institute to that point in time. This project continues to have impact today, with Dr. Kiser continuing to work with 10 Institute teams from around the US to reach hard-to-reach and vulnerable communities with public health programs. This Institute has been adapted for implementation in Kenya and will be implemented in two other countries in sub-Saharan Africa in 2016.
